Itinerary
FIRST Day Cusco (3,300 m) – KM. 82 (2,800 m) – WAYLLABAMBA (3,000 m)
Early in the morning we pick you up from your hotel and then drive to kilometer 82 (2,800 mts / 9,200 ft) by bus. After passing the control, we will start the trek, on the banks of the Urubamba River, until we reach the important archaeological group Llactapata (2,740 m / 9,000 ft.), after llactapata we will go to the village of Tarayoc where full walk will take us approximately 6 hours (a total of 13 kilometers) until reaching the first camp in Wayllabamba (3,000 m / 9,843 ft).
SECOND DAY WAYLLABAMBA – PACAY MAYU (3,600m)
The biggest challenge awaits us: 11 kilometers (6.84 miles) ascending to cross 2 very high passes, including Warmi Wañusca, with 4,200 m.o.s.l (13,779 ft). which is the highest point of the hike, which we will cross breathing with difficulty and surprised by the breathtaking panoramic views of two mountains and snowcapped mountains, and also the beautiful semi-tropical valley. We will camp in Pacay Mayu at 3,600 m / 11,811 ft.
THIRD DAY PACAY MAYU – WIÑAY WAYNA (2,700 m)
The third day, we will walk 16 kilometers, but most of the route is flat and with many descents, then this day is quieter. We observe how the geography changes, from dry and mountainous, to green and semi-tropical (jungle edge). The hike includes the view of the archaeological site of Runkurakay at 3,800 m.o.s.l / 12,467 ft. and Sayac Marca at 3600 m.o.s.l / 11,811 ft. On the way we will visit the archaeological site of Phuyu Pata Marca – “Fog level town” in the Quechua native language at 3,665 m.o.s.l / 12,024 ft, until finally arriving at Wiñay Wayna (2,700 m / 8,858 ft) where we will install our last trekking camp.
FOURTH DAY: WIÑAY WAYNA – MACHU PICCHU (2,490 m) – CUSCO
After breakfast, very early, we will go to Inti Punku (The Sun Gate), the entrance to the ancient Inca city of Machu Picchu (2,490 m / 8,169 ft). From this point it is an unforgettable experience after descending we will visit this magical place and we will have a guided tour approximately 2 and half hours followed by a free time to enjoy this new wonder of the world independently you could visit Wayna Picchu (it is not included in the tour). Then we will go down by bus to Aguas Calientes (2,160 m / 7,087 ft) (it is not included in the tour) to have a lunch. In the afternoon we will take a train to Ollantaytambo, where a staff of the agency will wait for us to board a transport to Cusco (plazaleta regocijo) (arriving at night to Cusco.

Any other type of change (for example: change of date, refund, cancellation of the tour, change of person, etc.) is NOT possible due to the policy of the Ministry of Culture of Peru!

THE PROGRAM INCLUDES:
- Briefing (meeting) where our guide will explain about the walk and give you the maps. The briefing is scheduled one night before your trip and it is a mandatory! Otherwise, we will not be responsible for any type of misunderstanding in the information given and received!
- Pick up from the hostel in Cusco and transfer to Kilometer 82.
- Entrance ticket for the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu.
- Professional guide in bilingual tourism.
- Cook expert in roads.
- Porters carrying camping equipment and food.
- Complete feeding all the way: 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners, Vegetarian option is free; just inform us in advance, please.
- Camping equipment: 2 people tents, foam mattress, chairs, tables.
